Ever since I could remember, I have been fascinated with the possibility of life on planets other than Earth. This is what inspired me to choose this topic for my final video project. Throughout the video I combine the use of found footage, news reel, and special effects to make the viewer reconsider the possibility of "Life Beyond The Stars." I chose the song "Consuela" by producer ICYTWAT because his music has a ethereal, space-inspired vibe that I felt would pair very well with the visuals that I chose for the final project. I hope after viewing my short video it will spark your interest in looking to other planets and galaxies in the future.
Chris Burden (Shot in the Name of Art) Blue Man Group Pyotr Pavlensky (Sewed Mouth Closed) I chose these three performance artists because I found that to me they had several qualities in common. When you watch a performance art piece by these men, it arouses a strong first reaction in your mind, and pushes you to really question if what you are watching is truly art. I believe that the fact that their performance can bring you to question and explore their work makes what they do that much more special. For Chris Burden and Pyotr Pavlensky, I would say that technology is not an essential component to their work, because their most famous performances involve the infliction of pain on the human boy to make a point for their respective pieces. This is one area where the Blue Men Group differs from the other two, with technology being the tool that is most used for their performance art. I agree with you. I totally believe that there is people living on other planets than just Earth. This video just further helped me prove my point. All of the evidence you gathered for the video really drove your point that you were trying to prove that life does exist not just on Earth. Good job with the video
